Install OsmAnd
The app is free: for Android · for iPhone. The paid version is not needed for this.
Google Maps takes at most ten points at a time, so a long route is cut into parts there. OsmAnd follows the whole track at once and works without internet — in a car that matters more than it sounds. Below is our own order of steps: shorter than the general documentation because it describes exactly our case.

Without a map the track is just a line in the void. In the app: “Menu → Maps & Resources” → Moldova. If the free downloads are used up — take our copy of the map: unzip it and open the .obf file on your phone with “Open with OsmAnd”.
The bot hands out the GPX link, and it has to be opened on the phone itself. Android: the file downloads first, and the download notification has “Open” — from there Android offers OsmAnd. iPhone: Safari puts the file in Files, where you tap Share → OsmAnd. No phone hands a file straight from the browser to an app — that is how browsers work, not something we chose.
“Navigation → Settings → Follow track” and pick the imported track. You can also do it from the track itself: open it on the map and choose the same from its menu.
“Point of the track to navigate” — set it to “Start of the track”, otherwise it guides you to the nearest point and you cut off half the route. “Attach to the roads” — turn it on, otherwise the line runs straight between points. “Reverse track direction” — leave it alone: the exam route runs one way only.
A loaded track stays on the phone for good — it lives in “My Places → Tracks” and needs no internet any more. Opening the link again just adds a second copy under the same name. On the site, a track you have already taken is marked “already yours”.
It imports the same way, but it is not a route — it is points: lights, crossings, roundabouts and limits. It simply shows on the map, there is nothing to follow.
The tracks come from our bot with a subscription: one per route and one per outing of the grand tour. The routes, the streets and the ASP maps are open to everyone without the bot.
